The annual meeting of brothers and sisters of the second stage took place in the Sisters House of San Lorenzo de el Escorial, March 2-4. There was a total of 34 participants. The agenda focused on the bicentennial of the pontifical approval of the Congregation addressed the experience of the sscc charism in its missionary dynamism.
Lourdes Fernández and Carlos Barahona coordinated the event. Lourdes herself put the subject on the floor with a brief dissertation on the charism, recalling Pat Bradley when he stated that "our consecration consists in embracing the cause of Jesus in response to his first loving us."
Sisters and Brothers shared their stories and how the charism has influenced them. Also noteworthy were the testimonies of missionary work in America, Africa and Asia by Javier Otazu, Rosa Bogado, Lucie Malubu, Enrique Losada and Monica Fuster. There was space for prayer, togetherness and a movie which, suitable for this occasion, helped us to contextualize our story within that of the French Revolution.
