The 2025 Asian Mission seminar took place at the Divya Dharshan, Apostolic Carmel Retreat House in Kolkata, India. The event opened with the Eucharist led by Fr. Ajith Kumar, the Regional Superior of India. Delegates from various countries, including Indonesia, Japan, the Philippines, Singapore, the USA, French Polynesia, and India, participated in the seminar. Also present were Frs. Alberto Toutin and Jean-Blaise Mwanda Blaise from the General Government.
The seminar featured a presentation by Miss Shirley Cutinha, a seasoned leader and mentor with an MBA in Marketing and Human Resources. She has also been appointed as a National Youth Council Member of the CCBI Youth Commission. Her talk focused on the realities facing youth in the context of the media, the internet, and artificial intelligence, as well as their expectations from the Church. Additionally, Sr. Aurora Laguarda of the SSCC community conducted a second presentation on the importance of accompanying youth in a manner consistent with SSCC values.
