The Assembly of the Zone Europe-Africa took place from the 9th to the 13th of May in El Escorial, Spain. A total of 27 sisters from the different Territories of The Zone participated. Gregoria Marín and Aurora Laguarda, represented the General Government, with Aurora facilitating the Assembly. The main themes were the “Road Map” which adapted the PAC to the reality of the Zone and the Statutes of the Zone which have to be completed and adapted to the needs of the Territories. Information was also given to the themes of Finance and Initial Formation. There was a warm and friendly atmosphere as we searched together. The previous work done by all the sisters in the Zone was appreciated positively.
On Sunday 13th in the afternoon, the funeral of our sister Leonor Pérez de Madrid was held. She had served in the three Territories of the Zone, before the Congregation had thought of this structure. It was a fitting homage to the way our sister Leonor lived internationality, having sisters from all the Territories of the Zone present.
