On Saturday, 29 June, 2019 the Secular Branch in England gathered in Daventry for their Assembly. The day began with a Mass in celebration of the Feast of the Immaculate Heart of Mary which was presided over by Pearse Mullen ss.cc. Jean Blaise Mwanda who is learning English in London (Ealing) concelebrated. After Mass, a conference was held on the theme: "How to pray with the Psalms". Margaret Wilson, a member of the Secular Branch, was the moderator. Each member then had an opportunity to share on their favorite psalm; a shared lunch followed after which the group reassembled for any other business. All took place in an atmosphere of joy and characterised by the sscc family spirit. Pearse Mullen is the new spiritual accompanier of the Secular Branch in England (London/Bedford/Daventry. The next meeting will take place in October.
