On 7th November the blessing of SSCC graves ceremony took place in the diocesan cemetery of the Catholic Missionaries located in Papeete (in the mission) close to the church of Our Lady of Peace (“Maria no te hau”).
The regional superior, Fr. Ferry Tobe Namang (celebrant), Fr. Léon Lemouzy, Fr. William Tepa, Bros. François Tiafariu and Michel Tara and some members of the secular branch were present for the blessing.
It was a small SSCC family gathering, given the health obligations due to Covid. Normally, this is an annual commemoration that takes place on the first Monday after All Saints Day with a mass in the church followed by a procession to the cemetery for the blessing and candle-lighting at the graves.
