On March 25, the canonical visit to the territory of Chile, belonging to the Latin American Zone, began. The general councilors, Goyi Marin and Alicia Mamani arrived in Santiago and began the visit by meeting with Patricia Villarroel, Territory Coordinator.
The Territory of Chile consists of 8 communities, with a total of 52 sisters, of whom 7 are out of the country, 5 in mission and 2 in training courses.
The canonical visit began in Viña del Mar, specifically in the community of Santa Inés and will continue in the two communities around. It will continue in the communities of the South and end with the visit to the communities of Santiago.
In each community there are community meetings, personal conversations, visits to the works and apostolates and meetings with brothers and ss.cc laity, if they are present in these sectors.
The canonical visit is a time to know the life and mission of the sisters and communities, to revitalize and strengthen the vocation and fidelity to the Lord and to reinforce enthusiasm and hope in the future. It is an important moment in our lives to listen to the concerns of the sisters, their illusions, their needs, their desires, and, from there, accompany and encourage them in their life and mission.
The visit ends on April 30, with the meeting with the local superiors and another meeting with the Territory coordinator to share the experience and continue to walk together.
