In an atmosphere of joy and reverence, the children of St. Paul Parish in Brayan Bengkel, Medan, took part this Sunday in a meaningful day of biblical sharing, held in celebration of the Feast of the Baptism of Jesus.
As every Sunday, the children gathered at the church for a faith encounter; however, this occasion was special. Guided by their catechists, the participants read and reflected on the passage from the Gospel according to Saint Mark (1:14–20), deepening their understanding of Jesus’ call and the meaning of baptism.
During the activity, the children were invited to recognize and understand their identity as children of God, highlighting the value of baptism as the beginning of Christian life. Through dialogue, reading, and the guidance of the teacher, the Word of God became a close and transformative experience for the youngest participants.
This gathering reaffirms St. Paul Parish’s commitment to the spiritual formation of children, promoting spaces where they can grow in faith and strengthen their relationship with God from an early age.
