On 18 March, the National Commission of the Congregation of the Sacred Hearts for the beatification of Father Esteban Gumucio met at the Casa Padre Damian de Macul, with the aim of installing new members and planning future actions to spread the legacy and memory of the Servant of God.
The Commission is composed of 19 people in total.
In addition to being updated regarding the current status of the cause of the beatification and the document called Posito that covers the life of Father Esteban and which contains many testimonies of his life - the other main activities that had taken place in 2022 were reported on as were other matters planned for the future.
Some positive achievements included the creation of the Esteban Gumucio archive and the redesigning of social networks. Among some of the new things to be implemented are outreach actions aimed especially at young people and children, resources for pastoral care and spiritual development, and a ‘solidarity shop’.
