On Thursday, December 12, the Assembly of the brothers present in Japan took place in Tomobe. With this event, Felipe Lazcano and Alberto Toutin end their Canonical Visitation to Japan-Philippine Province. The assembly was attended by all the 16 SSCC brothers living in Japan.
At this meeting, the general councilors presented in two stages the preliminary report of their visit. In the first part they presented the main lines of the central document of the last General Chapter on "Mission" and the guiding vision of the service of spiritual animation of the General Government for the coming years.
In a second part they rendered the main aspects observed in the visit: valuable elements, weaknesses and challenges, with the stress given to the need of strengthening the conviction and implementation of mission in and from the local community.
Another important challenge is to creatively find ways to grow in communion between the two areas of the province, Japan and the Philippines.
Alberto and Felipe thanked the brothers, especially the provincial John Yamada, for their welcome and for the preparation of this visitation.
