The Closing of the Provincial Chapter in Poland (Brs)

Fifteen brothers participated in the Provincial Chapter in Poland (Zdroj) held at Christus Rex monastery April 3-6.

There was a dialogue during the Chapter about the final three years of the Provincial service of Piotr Budrewitz and his Council. There was update on the major communities and the more important pastoral activities. Later then,  there was a discussion on the new document which spells out the orientations and decisions for the next three years of the life of the Province. One of the important themes which the brothers discussed is that of youth and vocation ministry. It is of greatest importance to develop the plan and the team that will make it happen.

The Counsellor General Felipe F. Lazcano was present, shared his experience and too note of the importance of working in communion with the entire Congregation.

Before the Chapter the new Provincial, Wojciech Kotowski had already been elected. During the Chapter there was the time set for the election of two Provincial counsellors: Kamil Wawro and Tomasz Wesolowski. Later the new Provincial named the other two counsellors Tadeusz Hojka and Tomek Pawlukowski whom the Chapter accepted.  The Provincial, Fr. Wojciech Kotowski proposed Kamil Wawro as  Vicar Provincial, likewise accepted.  At the final Eucharist, the new Provincial made his profession of faith and promise of fidelity.

The atmosphere of the Chapter was top notch with lots of good humor shared. Naturally, there was prayer, catch-up conversations, all told good sharing.
