"We are celebrating an important occasion: the Congregation for the Causes of Saints this year celebrates 50 years of existence”. It was with these words on 12 December that Pope Francis received the members of the Dicastery of the Congregation for the Causes of Saints, among whom was Cardinal Angelo Becciu, Prefect of the Dicastery in marking the occasion of the Golden Jubilee of the establishment of the Dicastery.
The Holy Father asked the Postulators assembled to be increasingly aware that their role "requires an attitude of service to the truth and cooperation with the Holy See". Andrzej Lukawski, our Postulator General, was present at this meeting and was blessed with an opportunity to personally greet Francis. The Pope in turn sent through Andrzej a greeting to the brothers and sisters of the Congregation of the Sacred Hearts.
