“Council of the Congregation 2016” (Srs)

The Sisters Council of the Congregation is taking place in St. Anthony’s Retreat Centre, Hawaii from the 15th to 30th January. As well as the major superiors of the Congregation and the coordinators of the Delegations, we also have the presence of our Superior General, Javier Álvarez-Ossorio, our General facilitator, Xavier Quinzá  and the facilitator for the council of the Congregation, Jesús García. The meeting began with 3 days retreat which helped us to be “soaked “ in the Spirit, opening our hearts and allowing Him to guide us.

On Monday 18th, in the opening Eucharist at which Javier Álvarez-Ossorio presided, the Spirit was invoked to guide us and to enlighten our journey. At the end a candle was given, as a sign of the Spirit, with the recommendation to not let the light go out. Following this the Council began, properly speaking, with the presentation of the reflection from the different realities of the Congregation on the models of Reconfiguration.
