From January 22 through 28 of January 2018, the tradition of an annual get together in the province of Chile was honored at Punta de Tralca. This is a time of fraternity in which the majority of the brothers participate and where themes relevant to life in the Congregation get a hearing. It is also an opportunity to celebrate the jubilarians of this new year - both religious life and priesthood- who are indeed many for 2018: Nelson Rivera, Sandro Mancilla, Enrique de la Valle, Javier Cerda, Enrique Moreno, Sergio Silva, Alex Vigueras, Armando Lanzani, among others. Besides, some birthdays happened during our time together.

This time matters accented at the 18th Provincial Chapter came to the fore besides looking to the tasks allotted us for the forthcoming General Chapter. Thus we set up four Commissions: Youth ministry, parish ministry, spirituality and schools which are the cutting edge of our pastoral service.
Two perspectives worked on were the deepening and renewal of the spiritual life of our brothers and the renewal of our apostolic mission. This echoes the call to conversion that Aparecida gives and which Pope Francis reiterates in Evangelii Gaudium. René Cabezón, the Provincial had this to say: “for us, this comes down to the challenge on the one hand, of team work in creating community in our projects, and on the other hand, the challenge of a new community, now one year old, on the peripheries of church and national life, in the city of Diego de Almagro in the Diocese of Atacama.”
