On Saturday, 25 January, the feast of the conversion of St. Paul, brother Yosef Bala Roma was ordained deacon by Monsignor Rubiyatmoko.
The ordination took place in Jogyakarta at the Kentungan Major Seminary. More than a hundred people, including brothers, sisters, relatives, priests and friends, accompanied Bala at this time, along with two Muslim friends. All prayed that the newly deacon would remain faithful and strong in his service.
