On Sunday January 17, 2016, at Chapel Cruz de Motupe belonging to Nuestra Señora de la Paz parish, in San Juan de Lurigancho (Lima), Germán Huanca Flores, sscc was ordained as a deacon. Bishop Norberto Strotmann Hoppe, MSC, presided the Eucharist. Among the participants were sscc brothers and sisters, relatives of Germán, and of course friends of the parish community with its pastoral ministers. There was the customary toast of honor after the Eucharist. The youth dance groups of the parish offered their dances, while people shared snacks prepared by the parish.
The first profession of Cristhian Sullca Cori, sscc took place on Friday, January 22 at 7 pm, in the church of La Recoleta in Lima. The family of Cristhian Sullca traveled from Puno to attend the profession. In the Eucharist animated with Andean songs, brothers, sisters and members of the Secular Branch, as well as friends and people close to the Congregation participated along. Naturally the celebration ended with an agape at the premises of La Recoleta convent.
