The latest activity of DSDI (Damien Institute for Social Development) has been to enter into contact with about 135 vulnerable families in the Panitanki district of Bubaneswar. These slum dwellers are mostly displaced by the tribal community. However, due to the Coronavirus restrictions imposed since 24 March, they are without work, salary and consequently they also lack of food. This poor area is also the location of one of our non-formal education centres for the children of these families. Today they were given food, rice rations and "daal", as well as face masks and soaps. We thank our DSDI non-formal education teachers and their volunteers for helping us in the distribution programme.
