The visit to the Province of Ecuador finished on May 31st, with the meeting with the Provincial Government. On 29th we met with the various commissions and consultants of the Province. The achievements and challenges in each of the areas were shared. It was a very interesting and clarifying meeting which highlighted the interest invested in the work carried out by the commissions.
On the 30th the Enlarged Council of the Province took place. It had a twofold purpose: to share the values and the challenges encountered in the Province and to take another step in the process of reconfiguration underway, as much at Province level as in the Congregation. For this the general councilors presented a brief history of what is taking place in each Province, PPC and Delegation in the Congregation and this served as motivation and illumination for the Province of Ecuador.
Among other things throughout the visit there was an opportunity to share with the brothers and with the Secular Branch in the places where they are present. On the 1st June we had the occasion to share with the vice provincial David de la Torre, and the brothers who are in Quito. It was a marvelous conclusion for our visit.
