End of the canonical visit to Spain (Sisters)

The canonical visit to the Territory of Spain has come to an end. On the 18th of November we had a meeting with Nuria Lobo, Coordinator of the Territory, and Mary McCloskey, Delegate Superior of the Zone, who joined us through Zoom. In this meeting we shared what we had experienced in the communities, highlighting the positive aspects and pointing out some invitations. It was very much appreciated that the communities are well animated and the sisters are happy in what they do; the care of the older sisters; the involvement in parish pastoral work; the Vocational Youth Ministry, especially the Molokai project. The new projects in line with the orientations of the last General Chapter were also evaluated: Project Todo, Project Bethlehem and Project Family. The importance of the mystique of the small and the networking with other institutions was underlined.

On November 19, the canonical visitation concluded with a meeting with the Territorial Council, in which there was also a sharing of the visitation and in which the superiors were able to express to the General Government what they could do to continue to animate the Congregation.

In the afternoon, the feast of the Good Mother was celebrated for the Sector of Madrid. It began with a Eucharist in which sisters, brothers and lay people participated. This was followed by a shared table with rich food and nourishing conversation.
