Two vibrant and energetic young ladies, Jhima Nayak and Jhansi Nayak, both 19 years old, from Easter Odisha, India, began their entrance into the pre-novitiate program today. This significant day coincides with the birthday of our beloved founder, Good Mother Henriette Aymer, who was born on August 11, 1767, into a noble French family.
In a simple yet beautiful celebration presided by Father Ajith Kumar Antony SS.CC, the regional superior of India, Jhima and Jhansi were accepted as pre-novices of the Congregation during a Holy Mass. This marks the beginning of their journey to discern the call of God in their lives.
During the ceremony, Jhima and Jhansi expressed their desire to love and serve the Lord. They are willing to grow as individuals and remain open to the will of God. The community of the Sacred Hearts has pledged our love, prayers, support, and accompaniment throughout their journey of discovery and growth. We are hopeful that these seeds of vocation will germinate and bear much fruit in our SS.CC family. May Good Mother watch over us.
