Four of our Novices, Arockia Vanathiyan C., Dilip Kumar Baliar Singh, Ravi Robert More and Robert Joshi in the Sacred Hearts Novitiate, Bhubaneswar - Odisha, made their temporary profession of vows on August 6, 2016 and were embraced as Brothers into the Sacred Hearts Congregation.
Eleven SS.CC. Professed and ordained Brothers, eight Sisters, two new Brother Novices, and seven sister candidates gathered together as a family to celebrate this joyous event in St. Vincent's Catholic Church, Bhubaneswar. There were about a hundred and ten priests, religious and lay faithful along with the family members of our four Brothers and our DSDI staff members who joined us in the celebration.
The liturgy was presided over and homily given by the Archbishop John Barwa of Cuttack - Bhubaneswar. The vows were received by Sudhir Nayak - the Regional Superior. The choir was led by our Brother Tileshwar along with Sr.Jayanti and candidates of our Sisters. The celebration of the liturgy was followed by a short felicitation program in the St. Joseph's Convent Auditorium and meal was served thereafter.
The whole celebration went well and it was a indeed a joyous celebration for the Sacred Hearts family and for the local Church community. Thank you all for your prayers and support for us on this day, especially for our four newly professed Brothers.
