First professions in USA (brothers)

While Hurricane Henriette was a concern here in Hawaii leading up to August 10th, and the birthday of Henriette, our Good Mother, was the day after on August 11th, we knew that somehow with all the connections to our Good Mother things would be blessed for the profession of our novices, and blessings were certainly in evidence.

The profession of Michael Kamauoha, Justin Carrigan, and Jeremy Sabugo, which began at 10:00 a.m., took place at St. Patrick Church on the island of Oahu, with Johnathan Hurrell, ss.cc., Provincial, presiding.  While we tried to keep the rite simple, many people heard of the profession, and there was a fairly large attendance.

In the afternoon, there was a “family” gathering at Bethany Center in Kaneohe to celebrate as a family, both brothers and sisters, to give thanks to God for the blessing of three new brothers.  Congratulations to our three new Brothers in the Congregation of the Sacred Hearts!
