On Monday, 9th July 2018, on the feast of Our Lady Queen of Peace, the Province of Indonesia happily witnessed 6 novices who pronounced their first temporary vows. At the same occasion 11 postulants received their religious habits and Constitutions as symbols of the beginning of their novitiate program.
The celebration was held at SSCC Batam Oase Centre Retreat House and was led by Fr. Bonie Payong sscc accompanied by Fr. Antun Wardoyo sscc, the novice master, and Fr. Arundati Gaga sscc as representative from the Parish.
Fr. Bonie delivered an invitation as well as a challenge to these brothers according to the theme of the celebration: “Do not be afraid”. Jesus loves you. Come to His call. God loves us as human beings who are created good. Therefore do not be afraid to respond to His call. Whether as a lay person or as a religious, by being a good person responsible to the country, the Church, neighbor and family, we listen to God's call.
