First vows in the Philippines (brothers and sisters)

On Saturday May 9, 2015, at 9 am in the Philippines, two sisters and two brothers of the Sacred Hearts professed their first religious vows. Both Sisters, Jabita Baliarsingh y Sandhya Rani Mahanayak, are from India. Brother John Paul Bayson is from the Philippines and Brother Soane Patita Ulutaufonua is from Tonga (community belonging to the province of USA). They all made their canonical novitiate in the Philippines, in their respective formation communities.

The profession ceremony was held during the Mass celebrated in the church of the Resurrection of the Lord parish in Bagong Silang. The presidency and homily were delivered by Jean Pierre Cottanceau sscc. The vows were received by Sister Ratna Kumalasari, Major Superior of the Asian Project of the Sisters, and the Provincials of Japan-Philippines, Kenji Honma, and of USA, Jonathan Hurrell.

Around noon, all the participants shared a meal at the Saint Damien Center, where the social programs that encourage SSCC Sisters and Brothers in Bagong Silang are developed.
