Mateo Crawley-Boevey (1875-1960), of Peruvian origin, who joined the Province of Chile, is the second most famous religious of our Congregation in the world, after Saint Damien de Veuster. Being the worldwide Apostle of the Sacred Heart of Jesus and the founder of the Work of the Enthronement of the Sacred Heart in families, he received from the Popes of the time the mission to bring the Work of Enthronement to various parts of the world.
The 40th General Chapter of the Brothers authorises the Postulator General to take the necessary steps to initiate the process of canonisation of Fr Mateo Crawley-Boevey.
