Going for a walk to Fontainebleau is quite a Parisian habit, but also Picpusian. Several brothers often spent their Monday to go for a walk... or for a jog there. At the castle of Fontainebleau we could remember that Pope Pius VII was imprisoned by Napoleon there. He was the Pope who signed the document for the birth of our Congregation.
For our part, we took a break for two days with the Carmelites of Avon in order to have a read-through of our community life and share in the mission path of the last General Chapter. On the way back, we took the opportunity to visit the community of Montgeron. A good fraternal time. (BC)
