From Lima (Peru)

In our community of Wilson (Lima) we have lived this time of quarantine with patiencesurprised by the rapid increase of people infected with COVID-19, saddened by the death of people close to us, many of them because of the virus, but also with hope that soon this time of desolation will end. In these months, as a community and a parish we have been broadcasting Sunday Mass and Thursday worship through Facebook. Seeing the many people who accompany us in the celebration of the Eucharist and give their time for adoration is a cause of joy for us. Without doubt, both adoration and the Eucharist are the means that unite us as brothers and sisters of the one God who accompanies us in our pain and joy in the midst of this pandemic that we are living through. As a parish we provide food donations. This is possible, thanks to the solidarity of people who freely share their lives. In small patches of land we find many people living on less than what they need.  For these people, their income comes from their daily work, and now that they are not working, they find themselves without the money to buy the basic food for their home. Despite this, people try to manage as best they can.
