The SEDOS (Service of documentation and study of the mission) seminar, is taking place from May 20 to 24 in the Verbum Dei (SVD) house “Ad Gentes “ in Nemi (Italy).
This year the theme is “Sent by the God of Surprises”. New ways of being missionaries. Each day is dedicated to one aspect: Inter-congregationality – Mysticism and Prophecy – Formation for the Mission. During these 50 years in which SEDOS is at the service of the mission, it is time to remember, to celebrate and to renew. It is time to remember the past with gratitude, to live the present with passion and to embrace the future with hope.
The group is made up of 120 persons, religious and laity, from different countries of the world, that have come together to reflect on the Mission of the Church in the present historical and socio-economical context.
Alicia Mamani, Mary McCloskey, Goyi Marín and Aurora Laguarda, are participating for the first time in this seminar. It is a privileged moment in which to renew our common commitment at the service of the mission. A mission that has been evolving from the Vatican II Council: Ad gentes (go out to the encounter of others) – Inter gentes (contextualized, in dialog) – Cum gentibus (with others, in collaboration).
