The Golden Jubilee is a momentous occasion, celebrating 50 years of blessings in our region of India. On February 21, we gathered to commemorate this significant milestone in our Congregation’s presence in India, paying tribute to the pioneering efforts of those who have contributed to this journey of faith.
The jubilee festivities commenced with a prayer dance, invoking God’s presence. Several priests and religious sisters processed alongside the Superior General, Fr. Alberto Toutin sscc, Archbishop Thomas D’Souza, and many provincials, delegates, counselors, priests, and sisters. They ceremoniously lit a lamp, symbolizing the light of Christ among us.
A comprehensive introduction highlighted the Congregation’s history in India, warmly welcoming the General Superior, bishops, priests, sisters, and lay faithful. The grand Eucharistic celebration was presided over by the Right Rev. Archbishop Thomas D’Souza of the Diocese of Kolkata, with 50 priests concelebrating. The Word of God was proclaimed, followed by an inspiring homily.
Sisters from various congregations joined in the jubilee celebrations, uniting in the beauty of the Holy Eucharist, offering praise and gratitude to God. The event embodied the essence of love, vocation, and unwavering devotion, leaving a lasting impression on all who attended.
