The hairdressing workshop run by Caritas in the Buen Pastor parish in San Fernando (Cadiz, Spain) has recently reopened. This is thanks to the support of Caritas, the collaboration of a hairdresser and the Buen Pastor Parish. The salon has been renovated and turned into a real hairdressing salon for the apprenticeship of young people from the neighbourhood who have no job and no great will to learn.
At the beginning it was notable how many of the students lacked a school education, with some having simply abandoned school. This makes for added difficulties for many of them since the theory is written, and not all are prepared. An effort has been made by the parish to put televisions in the classrooms with cables adapted to computers, which will allow classes to be given with computer and audiovisual support. The main purpose of this is to help those learning to be hairdressers to distinguish hair diseases and skin types, among other things.
