On December 24th, on Christmas Eve, as community we decided to join the Pre-novices Brothers and Sisters under the organization of Fr. Patrick SS.CC that was invited by a lady who is ministering to the inmates. We joyfully sang the choirs together with the inmates’ families. This first meaningful experience ended the celebration by having a simple meal and caroling together in this first-class prison. After our return from this service, we gather together around the Christmas tree in the community to carol and reveal our Secret Angels as we exchange our gifts for one another. As usual, on Christmas Day the community is open for those who come to wish us on this special day. We prepared some simple food to be shared as we sing “Joy to the World” as we enjoyed our togetherness.
On December 26th, we Sisters and Brothers come to celebrate the Eucharist as we renew our Religious Vows together to commemorate the foundation of our Congregation. We are grateful to the Secular Branch group who came to support us and witness our renewal. After the Eucharist, we continued with a brunch prepared by the Sisters and sponsored by both Parish Communities of the Brothers.
We also shared our joy and blessings to the Sisters’ family around Bandung by visiting them in their respective houses. Pre-novices Brothers and Sisters added to the joy by singing some Christmas carols accompanied by guitar, harmonica, and other musical instruments.
