In preparation for welcoming our Lord Jesus Christ into our hearts and communities, the Delegation of Mozambique is pleased to share with you the opportunity that the young sisters, together with the postulants, had to participate in the National Youth Day, which took place from 3 to 7 December in the Mozambican capital (Maputo).
More than three thousand people from different provinces of the country participated with the same purpose of strengthening their faith and hope.
With the following motto: Hope does not disappoint because God's love has been poured into our hearts. However, it was a memorable moment for the young Catholics of Mozambique.
During the Day, they had the opportunity to participate in intense moments of spirituality and formation; it included celebrations, vigils, catechesis, conferences, testimonies, and various cultural and missionary activities, strengthening the faith of each young person and their commitment to the Church and society.
We reflected on current issues that challenge Christian youth, highlighting the importance of youth leadership in the evangelising mission, especially for the most vulnerable.
We witnessed the joy of being young people committed to the values of the Gospel and to building a more just, fraternal and supportive world. We made a commitment to be young people engaged in our parishes, schools and communities, placing ourselves at the service of life and hope.
Finally, the journey ended with a festive Eucharist, where we reaffirmed our yes to God's call and our desire to continue walking as missionary disciples of Jesus Christ.

To the Sacred Hearts of Jesus and Mary, Honour and Glory.
