On October 9, Pope Leo XIV presided over a jubilee Mass for consecrated life in St. Peter’s Square, during which he delivered a profound message to religious men and women from around the world.
In his homily, he reflected on a passage from the Gospel of Luke, meditating on three fundamental verbs: to ask, to seek, and to knock. He encouraged consecrated persons to live these actions not with pretension, but with openness, humility, and generosity.

The Pope urged those in consecrated life to “strip themselves of everything” in order to be living witnesses to the primacy of God, exercising charity in favor of others and avoiding a superficial or fragmented existence.
He also invited them to “remember the gratuitousness” of their vocation and to look toward the horizon of eternity, so that their consecrated life may “orient” the world toward God.
The two SSCC communities of sisters and brothers in Rome took part in this celebration, together with other members of the Congregation who came from different countries, such as Poland and Spain.
