On September 15th all the SSCC brothers in Indonesia gathered in Batam for their annual meeting and reflection days, under the theme: "Youth Ministry: Listening and Accompaniment."
This theme is fully aligned with the current pastoral focus of the SSCC Province of Indonesia.
The meeting began with welcoming words from Fr. Pankras Olak sscc, who encouraged participants to live these days with openness and a spirit of fraternity. After the opening, the brothers broke into groups to share their experiences in youth ministry within their communities.
Fr. Pankras then presided over the opening Eucharist, where, in his homily, he invited everyone to be inspired by the spirit of Mary, who listens deeply and with her heart to the needs of young people.
Throughout the five-day gathering (September 15–19), the brothers will be accompanied by the team from the Youth Ministry Commission of the Indonesian Bishops’ Conference (KomKep KWI), who will share their insights and experiences in working with youth in today's context.
