On Saturday, January 18, Holy Name of Mary Parish hosted a Mass of Thanksgiving honoring those who have served in the West Region of the Congregation of the Sacred Hearts of Jesus and Mary, as well as the parishioners who have supported and shared in its mission. The celebration, held for many years as an expression of gratitude, brought together numerous SSCC brothers, members of the Secular Branch, and parishioners. Fr. Johnathan Hurrell sscc, superior of the House of Formation in Fiji, also concelebrated.
In his homily, Fr. Pat Crawley sscc reflected on the legacy of service of the Sacred Hearts in Southern California and the close collaboration with the laity, highlighting the incarnational spirituality that characterizes the congregation. The celebration was marked by a deep spirit of gratitude and hope, along with joy for upcoming events such as the novices’ first profession and future commissioning of members of the Secular Branch.
