On Saturday, 17th November, 16 sisters from the Europe and Africa Zones, 9 brothers from the Iberian Province and one sscc lay member met at the Sacred Hearts School in Madrid (Martín de los Heros) to reflect on Youth and Vocation Ministry. The recent Synod on "Young people, faith and vocational discernment” provoked much reflection and dialogue. The morning was divided into two parts. In the first part we listened to some thoughts on the Synod shared by some of the people who had been closely involved in its preparation and development. Later, we met in three groups to reflect on what we had heard about the Synod. We then assembled to share the elements of our charism that we believe to be relevant in the mission among young people. The meeting ended with the Eucharist. This meeting is the first of two that we will have throughout this course, and it will also serve as preparation for the biannual Assembly of sscc brothers, sisters and lay people that will take place in August 2019.
