After five years, more than 70 members of the Secular Branch of Chile met from 22 - 23 October in Concepción. This time of reunion, reflection and formation began with a conversation on the liturgy in the present times, led by Guillermo Rosas sscc, followed by group reflection and moments of fraternal sharing.
Elections were also held for the positions of national coordinator and bursar. Claudia Metz and Raquel Vergara had held these posts for two years respectively. After the voting, Raquel Vergara was elected as National Coordinator and Rodrigo Toledo as Bursar. In this way the board is composed of the two elected members, plus Cinzia Gnudi as secretary. All of these members belong to Concepción.
In the final Eucharist - presided over by Mario Soto sscc, religious accompanier of the Secular Branch, along with Guillermo Rosas and Reinaldo Figueroa sscc - two new members of the Branch, Silvia Blu and Isabel Canales, from the community Corazones de Jesús y de María of Río Bueno, made their first commitments. They were accompanied in their act of renewing their commitments by members of their community, plus members from Pablo Fontaine and Hualpén, all from the southern zone
