On Tuesday 7 March, Alberto and Jean Blaise met with Bishop Robertus Rubiyatmoko of Semarang (Central Java). He was a professor of Canon Law at the Sanata Dharma Faculty of Theology, where our brothers are studying.
The bishop thanked the visitors for the presence of the congregation in the diocese and asked the congregation to prepare personnel for university teaching. Among the themes discussed were a broader vision of the faculty in the formation of our brothers with the presence of sisters and laypeople, the figure of Rolf Reichenbach, the synodal process in the diocese of Semarang, synergy with other religions, diocesan vocations and the challenges of IF in the local church…
We were accompanied by our sscc brothers Lambert Enga, Yosef Ringhepat and Asran Taran. At the end of the meeting, we gathered around the table for a meal together.
