Meeting with the Secular Branch in San Javier - Chile
In the context of the Canonical Visit to the Territory of Chile-Paraguay, on Sunday 3 January, Sisters Patricia, Margarita and Carmen Gloria Mancilla sscc, met, on line, with some members of the Secular Branch of the commune of San Javier. Most of them are former students, parents and teachers of the SSCC School. Their desire is to continue extending the Secular Branch and the spirituality of the Congregation in their Region.
Meeting with the management team of the College of St. Xavier
Monday, January 4 was a day of meetings with some of the pastoralists. One of them was with the management team of the San Javier School. The dialogue revolved around the different work alternatives for the year 2020, which helped them to respond efficiently to the educational demands in the midst of the pandemic and the challenges they have for this New Year.
Visit to the Huerta del Maule
A few kilometres from the Community of San Javier is the Huerta del Maule, an ancient village that gave birth to the Maule region. Its inhabitants have a strong devotion to Saint Francis of Assisi, who is their Patron and protector. There, Bernadette Cisternas sscc carries out her pastoral work together with the parish, the pastoral workers and the local people. The year 2020 was opportune for them, as a team, to create and edit an evangelization material for youth and adults.
