Food is a basic need in life. To meet their food needs, residents of Mekar Jaya Village, Panongan, Tangerang, in the Banten Province, Indonesia have formed a food endurance group. Villagers in this group are residents who are still classified as pre-prosperous.
Foods that last include various kinds of plants, such as mango, jackfruit, breadfruit, coconut, chili, and longan.
This food endurance approach was developed alongside goat breeding groups and fish farming to complement the chickens. What is happening now is the construction of goat cages and the cleaning of fish ponds.
This food endurance group is mentored by Mr. Purwahidin, the head of the MekarJaya Village, Captain Inf Agus Halim Siregar, the Commander of the Military Rayon 14 Panongan (Tigaraksa Military District Command), Indonesia and its members, as well as SS.CC Fathers and Brothers from the Catholic Church of Santa Odilia - Citra Raya - Tangerang.
This food endurance group is expected to be a source of income for the villagers.
