On Monday, May 5, 2025, the parish community of St. Paul in Medan (Indonesia) gathered in joy and gratitude. During a Eucharistic celebration presided over by Fr. Sampang Tumanggor, RD, Episcopal Vicar of Medan, the faithful welcomed the new parish priest and bid farewell to the outgoing one.
This parish, entrusted to the SSCC congregation since 2022, was founded by Fr. Niko Bot Syura sscc, who has joyfully and faithfully served the community for nearly three years. He now begins a new missionary assignment in Kalimantan, taking with him the prayers and affection of those he served.
Taking his place is Fr. Benny Kosasih sscc, who has been warmly welcomed as the new parish priest. With an open heart and a spirit of service, Fr. Benny was received by many parishioners during the Mass and the joyful celebration that followed.
We pray for Fr. Niko and Fr. Benny, that the Lord may guide their missionary journeys and that, through their witness, many may continue to grow in faith and love for the Church.
