Good News from the Ireland-England Province. Ultan Naughton, of the Ireland-England Province was ordained to the Diaconate by Bishop Ray Field, Auxiliary Bishop of Dublin.
Ultan is the son of Anne and Michael Naughton and hails from Correal, Athleague, Roscommon. The ordination ceremony took place on Sunday 3rd February 2013 in the Church of St Peter the Apostle in Neilstown, Dublin 22.
Bishop Brendan Comiskey presided and the concelebrants included Fr. Derek Laverty, Provincial of the Sacred Hearts Community along with other priests from both the Dublin Archdiocese and his religious community. It was good to have Alberto Toutin with us for this celebration.
Ultan is presently completing his priestly studies at St. Patrick's College, Maynooth while working in the parish of St. Peter the Apostle, Neilstown, Dublin. When he has completed his studies the plan is for him to serve as deacon in a poor parish in Bagong Silang, Manila, Philippines before returning to Ireland for his ordination to the priesthood. Pray for him as his journey continues.
