During the XIII Provincial Chapter of Brazil and the Region of Paraguay, held at the SSCC Retreat House in Pindamonhangaba (Brazil), on May 27, in the morning, in the presence of the Superior General, Alberto Toutin, who listened to the brothers, at the request of the Provincial Superior, Osvânio Mariano, a show-of-hands vote was held, in which the 17 chapter members unanimously approved the unification of Brazil-Paraguay. The Superior General erects the Province of Brazil-Paraguay as of this date, with the subsequent approval of the General Government.
In the afternoon, Edvaldo Carneiro sscc was elected Provincial Superior of Brazil-Paraguay, who accepts the election in availability to the brothers, being confirmed by the Superior General. He succeeds Osvânio Humberto Mariano in this service.
