Ordination to deacon of Francisco Gleison Oliveira (Brazil)

Francisco Gleison Oliveira sscc was ordained deacon in the Church of Nossa Senhora de Fátima, in the Parish of São Damião de Molokai in Patrocínio, MG (Brazil) on Saturday, 16th October, 2021. The celebration was presided over by our brother of the Congregation Dom Luiz Mancilha Vilela sscc, archbishop emeritus of Vitória do Espírito Santo, and concelebrated by several priests of our Congregation, among them the Provincial Superior Fr. Osvânio Humberto Mariano sscc and of the Diocese of Patos de Minas, MG. In addition to the brothers, sisters and members of the Secular Branch of our Congregation. The SSCC postulants, seminarians, friends of the Congregation of Belo Horizonte and Catuji and a large number of faithful of the parish community were present at the Mass. Francisco Gleison's brother, Pedro Alan Oliveira, travelled almost 2500 km to represent all the relatives of the ordained.
In his homily, Dom Luiz, addressing the ordained especially, reminded him "that you are born to love". And on this path of your Christian life you have discovered a consecrated family, a missionary family with the mission of proclaiming God's redeeming love".
At the end of the celebration, very moved, Deacon Gleison thanked all those who accompanied him during the years of his formation, in the parishes, in the pastoral activities, the brothers of the Congregation and the friends and family who always prayed and supported him on his path of vocational discernment. "I am very grateful to my parents, Cleiton and Fatima, to my sisters Claudia, Rosa and Katia and to my brother Alan, here present. You have always been my safe harbour, especially in the many difficult moments I have faced in my journey of vocational discernment." Deacon Gleison concluded.

The celebration concluded with a delicious lunch, marked by the spirit of the Sacred Hearts of the Family.
