On November 28, 2018 at the Bishop’s House in Berhampur, Bishop Sarat Chandra Nayak, DD presided at the Ordination to the Diaconate of Brother Lalit Toppo sscc. Brother Lalit sends the following as he reflects on this very special day:
“A special moment in life is always a moment of joy and happiness. It's for me too a special day of my life. God has showered His blessings upon me. As the day is coming for the Lord to come on this earth among us, I feel that God has come in my heart to be born in a special way as I received the deaconate. I feel so blessed to receive the ordination to deaconate. It was a very joyful moment. It's hard to express my happiness with words. It is the blessings of God who led me throughout my life to reach this stage of my life. I experienced the love of God and his guiding hand which directed the path which God has prepared for me. Today on my deaconate day I have reach to the altar of God to serve his people through the ministry. It a privilege for me to work in the vineyard of God, to work with his people. Thank you God for the blessings that you have showered in my life. He chose me as his servant to work in His vineyard and today I am here. It's a great moment of joy that God has chosen me as his servant to work in his vineyard for him. It's my time to say a big thanks to God for his graces and blessings. Thank you Lord!
