"The prefect of the Congregation for the Evangelization of Peoples has accepted the resignation of the apostolic administrator of the Archdiocese of Papeete, Father Bruno Mai, and has appointed as new Apostolic Administrator Bishop Pascal Chang Soi, Bishop Coadjutor of the Diocese of Taiohae of the Marquesas."
On March 22, the Archdiocese of Papeete announced by the previous statement, signed by the Chancellor of the Diocese of Papeete, Dominique Soup, that Pascal Chang Soi SS.CC. will replace Father Bruno Mai. since 23 March Mgr Pascal Chang Soi has been taking office in Papeete.
It had been a month since Fr. Bruno Mai announced that he would resign from his post in the Catholic Church of French Polynesia, a heavy burden for his health.
