Pastoral agents deepen teamwork skills (Chile)

As part of a new training initiative organized by the Congregation on May 28, the second session of the online Parish workshop series took place, aimed at pastoral agents from parishes accompanied by the Congregation. This session focused on teamwork, an essential tool for strengthening synodality within ecclesial communities.

Titled “Teamwork,” the workshop was led by engineer Carlos Escárate. During the session, participants explored fundamental aspects of building more effective and participatory pastoral teams, such as the group’s purpose and identity, team roles, a biblical perspective on collaborative work, team development stages, and the concrete challenges currently facing parishes.

The methodology combined self-study with a live session: registered participants received a video with the workshop content in advance for individual review and then joined a live online session with the speaker. This space allowed for deeper reflection on the material and sharing of personal pastoral experiences.

This second workshop continues the formation journey promoted by the Congregation of the Sacred Hearts, with the aim of providing concrete tools to strengthen the synodal spirit within parishes.
