Perpetual profession and ordination to the diaconate (Philippines)

On 6 February, on the feast day of St. Paul Miki and his companions, the Province of Japan-Philippines celebrated the perpetual profession of Erwin James L. Loquindo, a native of Mindanao, southern Philippines. The Eucharistic celebration took place in the Saint Damien Chapel, Damien Formation Center in New Manila, Quezon City.  The provincial, Michiaki Chihara, presided at the celebration and received Erwin’s final profession of vows.  This was followed by a meal present at which were sscc brothers and sisters, Erwin's family, some friends and benefactors.

The following day, 7 February, Erwin was ordained deacon by Mgr Roberto O. Gaa,  Bishop of Novaliches Diocese.  The ordination took place in our mission parish of Bagong Silang, Caloocan.  The inspiring celebration was full of joy and gave hope to the Christian community, and especially to our Congregation.

Both celebrations were accompanied and blessed by the presence of brothers and sisters of the congregation and CAP members. It was truly an occasion to give thanks to the Good God and a for such a momentous event in our sscc family.
