Perpetual profession in Manila (Sisters and Brothers)

On December 15th, Ellen Buyuccan, first Filipina Sister, made her final vows, along with brothers Agustinus Trivanto, Shenli Mario Angelo and Thomas Waluyo from Indonesia and José Marie T. Dumagat and Don Brian Malnegro from the Philippines. The celebration took place in the quasi parish San Oscar Romero, Cainta, with Bonifasius Kuda Payong, ss.cc., ??provincial of Indonesia, as presider. Patricia Villarroel, Superior General of the Sisters, received Ellen´s vows, Kenji Honma, provincial of Japan - Philippines, received the vows of the Filipino Brothers, and Bonifasius Kuda Payong received the vows of the Indonesian Brothers. Many Brothers and Sisters from Japan, Indonesia and the Philippines came together for this occasion. Regina Mary Jenkins, Delegate Supervisor of the Pacific Zone / USA - Asia, Ratna Kumalasari, Coordinator of the Asian Territory, Brigid Falahee, Ellen 's formator, and the Sisters of the Philippines were also present. Rosa Mª Ferreiro, from Spain, who recently joined the novitiate community in Manila and Angel Yu from Hainan, China, also participated in the celebration.

Present from the Brothers´s communities were Michael Coleman from Japan, Pankras Olak and Patricius Breket from Indonesia and Michael Kumar from India, who accompanied the Brothers’ experience of preparation for perpetual vows, and the brothers of the Philippines. The families of José Marie and Don Brian also attended, as well as religious, candidates of the SS.CC. Secular Branch and friends of the 6 professed.

Pankras, in the homily, did a rereading of Is 6, 8-13 and Jn 15, 1-17 from the point of view of our Sacred Hearts Spirituality, uniting it with our mission to Contemplate, Live and Announce the Merciful Love of God.

After the celebration, the feast continued with a simple meal, as a family.  Everyone present were impressed with the family spirit of our one Congregation of Brothers and Sisters.
