At the Vigil Mass of Epiphany, celebrated on January 2nd in the United States, in Queen of Peace Church, Harlingen, Texas, brother Semisi Pulotu sscc made his perpetual profession. Witnessing his vows were Daniel Flores, Bishop of Brownsville, Emmanuelle del Castillo, and Frs. Jeremy Sabugo, Richard Lifrak, Stephen Banjare, Manoj Nayak and Bob Charlton. Bishop Flores presided and Bob was the homilist and delegate receiving Semisi’s vows. Semisi’s uncle, Deacon ‘Ulupano’ assisted at the Mass. His wife and daughter were also in attendance. Given COVID-19 restrictions, approximately 130 parishioners were in attendance. Bob’s homily emphasized the missionary dimension of the church striving to realize the fulfilment of Isaiah that “every nation on earth will adore you, Lord.” Bro. Semisi says, “Our abandonment to Divine Providence only enhances our fiat to the Sacred Hearts.”
