The program of preparation for perpetual vows in the Philippines has entered its last stage. Last Sunday, November 13, the participating brothers began a 30-day retreat, accompanied by Michael Ruddy, current provincial of Ireland-England. The retreat is taking place in the city of Tagaytay, at the St. Scholastica’s Center of Spirituality.
Previously, in the last week of courses, the group was receiving contributions from Rusni Belalawe, Indonesian formator in the Philippines, on community life; and from Martin Irawan, member of Indonesian Province, about the priestly ministry as religious SSCC.
Completed the retreat on December 12, there will be time for a final evaluation of the program and to prepare the perpetual profession of five brothers, to be held in the parish of The Resurrection, in Bagbag, on Saturday December 17 at 9 AM. Those who will profess are Dion and Tri, from Indonesia; Maxime, from DR Congo; And Archie, from the Philippines.
Michael Ruddy arrived in the Philippines on Friday, November 11. On Saturday 12 he shared lunch with our SSCC sisters in Kamuning, and in the afternoon joined the group that prepares their perpetual vows, in Cainta. He will return to Ireland on December 14th.
